Python is most popular language of this century.
Python is buzzing and most demanded language of 21st century. You might heard a lot about that and seems lot of training videos and code blocks on internet for different purpose.
This is one of most popular and multipurpose programming language you can see that it can be used in Web development ,ethical hacking ,mobile app development ,software testing and in most demanded skill of 2020 Data Science.
Python is a fairly old language created by Guido Van Rossum. The design began in the late 1980s and was first released in February 1991. Guido van Rossum at the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science in the Netherlands.
Why the name Python ?
Rossum was fan of a comedy series from late seventies. The name “Python” was adopted from the same series “Monty Python’s Flying Circus”.
What is Python ?
“ Python is a general purpose, open source, high-level, interpreted programming language that lets you work quickly and integrate systems more effectively.”
There are two major versions: Python 2.x and 3.x. Both are quite different.
Why Choose Python ?
1.A simple language which is easier to learn
It has a very simple and elegant syntax. It’s much easier to read and write Python programs compared to other languages like: C++, Java, C#.
This makes programming fun and allows you to focus on the solution rather than syntax.
You can freely use and distribute this as it is open source and freely available on internet for download and use.
Not only can you use and distribute software’s written in it, you can even make changes to the its source code.
3.Efficient and multi platform support
- You can move programs that is written in this language from one platform to another, and run it without any changes.
4.Large standard libraries to solve common tasks
- This has a number of standard libraries which makes life of a programmer much easier since you don’t have to write all the code yourself.
5.A high-level, interpreted language
- when you run Python code, it automatically converts your code to the language your computer understands. You don’t need to worry about any lower-level operations.
- This is fully an Object oriented programming (OOP) helps you solve a complex problem.
” Data science is combination of tools, Machine Learning algorithms, domain knowledge , expertise in mathematics and statistics with the goal to extract the meaningful information from the raw data.”
Domain Knowledge is the environment of the data or having the knowledge of the field that the data belongs. You may read that Machine learning algorithms to predict on some test data. but the main power of machine learning algorithms and data to use only when we have domain experts.
Why we need of Data Science ?
Data is Treasure. With the help of data Industries make decision. Here, the Data Science is extract the meaningful data from the raw data.A Data Scientist has the skills that how to extract meaningful information with whatever data he comes across. He uses his analytical aptitude to solve business problems and helps company to take right decision.
Data analysis that uses only technology and domain knowledge without mathematical and statistical knowledge often leads to incorrect patterns and wrong interpretations. This can cause serious damage to businesses. !
Basic Skills of a Data Scientist
A Data Scientist should be able to :
- Ask the Right questions at Right time
- Understand the Data Structure
- Interpret and pre-processing the Data
- Apply mathematical and statistical methods
- Visualize the data and communicate with the clients
- Work as a team player
